Mongolian National Modern Art Gallery (Монголын Уран Зургийн Галерей)

The gallery separated from the Fine Arts Museum of Mongolia, in 1991. Mongolian National Modern Art Gallery is a government-supported art gallery in Ulaanbaatar. The gallery contains a large and impressive display of modern and uniquely Mongolian paintings and sculptures, with nomadic life, people and landscapes all depicted in styles ranging from impressionistic to nationalistic. There are about 4200 pieces in the museum's permanent collection, with only 7-8% being on display. The Soviet romantic paintings depicted in Thanka style are especially interesting, but the most famous work is Ochir Tsevegjav’s 1958 The Fight of the Stallions (aka Horse Fighting.

The museum is constantly collecting new pieces. In addition, the museum also organizes temporary exhibitions and also shows them aboard  The entrance is in the courtyard of the Cultural Palace. The main gallery is on the 3rd floor and there are temporary exhibits on the 2nd floor.

976 Art Gallery 
It is the most known contemporary art gallery in Ulaanbaatar city. Since its establishment in 2012, the gallery has been attracting visitors with its high quality exhibitions, events and open discussions organized regularly. Gallery moved twice improving locations and conditions; now it is located in prestigious business area of Ulaanbaatar city - in the first floor of Choijin Suite Building at Jamyan Gun street and changed its name into Art Space 976+, because of the start of new cooperation with Alaqai and Mathias Kuper Galleries. Space includes (1) Exhibition hall and (2) Artworks Stock. All staffs speak Mongolian, English and Russian.
