It is an 8-hour guided Day tour in Khustai National Park. (Guide, driver and as well as lunch, and all fees included). In the early morning, our journey takes us southwest from Ulaanbaatar to the Khustain National Park, where the day unfolds with an informative exploration led by a preservationist. A visit to the "information center" provides insights into the park's conservation efforts. Following a delightful lunch, our expedition continues into the heart of the National Park, accompanied by a preservationist, to observe the captivating wild horses, known as takhi.
The reintroduction of the Takhi in the wild was the fundamental reason for establishing the park. Thus, the establishment of tranquil and stable habitats in the Hustai National Park has led to a notable increase in the population of various wild animals. Notably, the red deer population, which stood at a mere 50 in 1992, has surged to an impressive 1300. The flourishing trend extends to other wildlife as well; for instance, the count of marmots, recorded at 9000 in 1992, has more than doubled, surpassing 20 thousand. Since 2003, the Argali sheep have found refuge within the park's secure and serene boundaries, contributing to the overall thriving biodiversity in the region.
The financial contribution from tourism 100% is used for nature conservation. That means, anyone who paid to receive the eco-tourism service (a tour company, tour guides and travellers) can participate the nature conservation.
